Currently I am creating installations that suggest something ominous or
unpleasant is lurking behind the walls. It could be an infestation
of bugs, or an outbreak of mold, mildew or fungus. What may be going
on appears through cracks in the walls, electrical outlet plugs or vents
in the ceiling. The installations can also be enjoyed for their
formal qualities and transformation of industrial materials.

“Mr.
Fucigna’s wall sculpture is a gnarl of various industrial plastics,
including orange netting. The material is shaped with a discernible bulge and marked over with forbidding blue spike-like
sticks. “Get in my Belly” may be the oddest work in the show”. |

“It
is a real accumulation of stuff with a real painterly sense to it.
